Why I started blogging after 30

Never in a million years would I have thought that I’d be starting a book blog at the age of 31.

Having recently joined the world of Bookstagram and connecting with some of the most amazing booklovers, I decided to take the plunge and start my very own blog. Now, I am in no way experienced at any of this and I am learning at every step along the way. It took me two days to figure out how to set up this blog 🤦🏻‍♀️

So if you are looking for a fancy blog with long or extensive posts created by someone who has studied web design and has a fancy degree in language or literature, then sorry you’re in the wrong place. My reviews are aimed at the general public and those who enjoy reading like myself. My goal is to write reviews in a down to earth style, that is both fun and easy-reading 😉

Do I wish I had done this earlier? Absolutely! The truth is that even though I have loved reading since I was a little girl, I stopped reading (for enjoyment) when I started Med school in 2008.

I stopped doing a lot of things I enjoyed as training to be a doctor was the main goal. Instead of taking a back seat, reading was shoved far away at the back of the trunk. After finishing up those grueling years of internship and community service (this is in no way an exaggeration, I promise), I was able to start focusing on things that make me happy. One of those things being reading 📖

I decided on Reading Untamed, because like many (but not all) of those who love reading, I am an introvert. When I’m reading, I don’t need to hold back and my imagination can run wild! It’s an escape from reality even if just for a few moments during a hectic day.

So there you have it. That’s why I started blogging after 30. I told you, nothing fancy here 😁
